SUMMARY:ALICE Workshop (Control Technique)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for important ALICE workshop that will focus on on of the counter options – Control.\n\n\nALICE is a proactive\, options-based plan for civilian response to a Violent Critical Incident. ALICE authorizes and empowers individuals to utilize human action\, building infrastructure\, and communication options to increase their chances of survival. \nThe mission is simple: SAVE MORE LIVES! \nThis workshop will explore one of the Counter option – Control. Although Counter with Distractions may temporarily slows down an attacker\, Counter with Control options could potentially end a threat. Learning about these effective strategies\, and practicing control techniques will give you another tool to counter with. \nIn this workshop\, we will breakdown and demonstrate these strategies in a slow and controlled environment. Participants will get valuable hands-on experience in how to control an assailant. \nDue to the physical nature of this workshop\, there is a higher chance of injuries than a normal ALICE workshop. The instructors are wary of the potential for injuries\, and have exercised an abundance of caution in preparing for a safe workshop. \nThis workshop is only for those who have taken ALICE Basic. It will be conducted primarily in English\, with Cantonese speaking instructors on-hand to assist. \nWe hope we can see you on 5/19.

ALICE Workshop is hands-on and interactive. You will be expected to actively participate in the workshop\, and put into practice\, the concepts learned in the ALICE Basic training. \nThe mission is simple: SAVE MORE LIVES! \nALICE  workshop is limited to 40 participants. After you sign up\, there will be a question for your to select your preferred language. \nNOTES: \n\nBecause of the nature and sensitive topic of this training\, we ask that attendees be 10 years old or older.\nRoom location will be communicated a few days before the training
