ALICE Workshop (Control Technique)

ALICE is a proactive, options-based plan for civilian response to a Violent Critical Incident. ALICE authorizes and empowers individuals to utilize human action, building infrastructure, and communication options to increase their chances of survival.

The mission is simple: SAVE MORE LIVES!

This workshop will explore one of the Counter option – Control. Although Counter with Distractions may temporarily slows down an attacker, Counter with Control options could potentially end a threat. Learning about these effective strategies, and practicing control techniques will give you another tool to counter with.

In this workshop, we will breakdown and demonstrate these strategies in a slow and controlled environment. Participants will get valuable hands-on experience in how to control an assailant.

Due to the physical nature of this workshop, there is a higher chance of injuries than a normal ALICE workshop. The instructors are wary of the potential for injuries, and have exercised an abundance of caution in preparing for a safe workshop.

This workshop is only for those who have taken ALICE Basic. It will be conducted primarily in English, with Cantonese speaking instructors on-hand to assist.
